Specialists in early childhood education are professionalizing their digital skills: the development and expansion of digital skills of educators in daycare centers and the establishment of a sustainable media expert network are promoted. The pilot project consists of three parts. Firstly, a curriculum for the digital skills of educators in daycare centers will be created. Secondly, further training will be carried out on the basis of the curriculum for digital skills. Each daycare center in Jena has the opportunity to train two educators as multipliers. Thirdly, a new network structure for digital skills and media education in early childhood education will be established to anchor the expertise gained in the long term and to enable an exchange of practical experience.

• Completion of training brochure and planning consisting of the following components
  • Qualification of media coaches in Jena daycare centers
  • Basic training in digital skills
  • Establishment of a media expert network
  • "Media box" for borrowing digital equipment for daycare centers
• Completion of an information flyer
• Kick-off event for the "Smart Kitas" measure on 03.09.2025
