Measure "Smart daycare centers - model project for digital skills in early childhood education"

Specialists in early childhood education are professionalizing themselves in the digital field: the development and expansion of digital skills of educators in daycare centers and the establishment of a sustainable media expert network are promoted. The pilot project consists of three parts. Firstly, a curriculum for the digital skills of educators in daycare centers will be created. Secondly, further training will be carried out on the basis of the curriculum for digital skills. Each daycare center in Jena has the opportunity to train two educators as multipliers. Thirdly, a new network structure for digital skills and media pedagogy in early childhood education will be established in order to anchor the expertise that has been built up in the long term and to enable an exchange of practical experience.
