Citizens experience new learning settings for independent digital learning: the Ernst Abbe Library is being developed into a

smart and inclusive library for everyone. Smart City primarily supports the aspect of self-learning with and through digital applications in a modern learning setting. The new building of the Ernst Abbe Library and the Lobeda district library will become low-threshold, barrier-free, lifelong learning spaces by providing access and participation for all residents with the latest technical equipment and digital services. Among other things, devices and aids for people with disabilities are also available to try out and borrow.
