Jena at the Civitas Core Community Meeting in Kassel
From February 18 to 19, 2026, the Civitas CORE community came together in Kassel for a community meeting. Martin Berger and Björn Walther were also there, taking the opportunity to exchange ideas with other members, plan the next development steps and actively help shape the roadmap for CIVITAS/CORE.
Exchange, insights and inspiration - Day 1
The first day started with a city tour of Kassel. This was followed by a tour of the Future Space. The evening ended with a meal together, where the professional exchange continued in a relaxed atmosphere.
Focus on product and roadmap - Day 2
The second day was clearly technical in nature. The results of the previous three-week work phase were presented in the respective development teams and offered the opportunity to discuss open questions and optimization potential.
The next steps were determined in the subsequent planning meeting: Release 2.1 in June was planned in concrete terms, and there was also an outlook for version 2.2. Sub-projects were prioritized, measures sharpened and responsibilities coordinated.
The meeting was rounded off with a review of the general development of the CORE community - with an open exchange on successes, challenges and possible next measures.
Conclusion
The meeting in Kassel delivered clear results for the further development of CIVITAS/CORE and strengthened cooperation within the community.
